TRAVIS WARD FROM LONDESCOROUGH SENTENCED FOR STALKING AND SEXUAL OFFENSES IN HULL
A man from East Yorkshire, Travis Ward, has been formally sentenced to serve time in prison after a series of disturbing criminal behaviours involving stalking and sexual misconduct.Ward, aged 22 and residing on Grange Lane in Londesborough, near Market Weighton, was brought before Hull Crown Court where he received a sentence of three years and four months behind bars on Friday, April 25.
In addition to his prison term, Ward was ordered to adhere to a strict seven-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order, which aims to restrict his activities and prevent further offenses.
He is also required to register as a sex offender for a period of seven years, a measure designed to monitor his activities and ensure community safety.
Furthermore, a ten-year restraining order has been imposed, prohibiting him from approaching or contacting the victims or any individuals involved in the case.
Ward had previously pleaded guilty to multiple charges, including four counts of stalking, sexual assault, and possession of extreme animal pornography.
These pleas were entered during an earlier court hearing, which laid bare the extent of his disturbing behaviour.
Detective Sergeant Sam Cunnington of Humberside Police described Ward as an obsessive individual who meticulously documented his plans to stalk women across Hull.
According to police reports, Ward would follow women and intimidate them while dressed in a trench coat, a red hoodie, and a face covering, all intended to conceal his identity.
Investigations uncovered devices belonging to Ward that contained videos of animal pornography, alongside a diary filled with derogatory language and notes indicating his intent to target women.
The police were able to link Ward to the crimes after four women came forward, each reporting that they had been followed and harassed by him.
These reports prompted his arrest and subsequent prosecution.
The guilty plea and the subsequent imprisonment of Travis Ward serve as a significant step in removing a dangerous individual from the community.
The case underscores the ongoing efforts of law enforcement agencies to combat sexual offenses and stalking, emphasizing the importance of victim reports and community vigilance.
