LONDON OSTEOPATH JAILED FOR VOYEURISM AND SECRET FILMING
A celebrity osteopath described as "one of London's most prolific voyeurs" has been sentenced to prison for secretly filming women for sexual gratification.Danish national Torben Stig Hersborg, 64, operated a practice in Old Street where he filmed and photographed approximately 2,000 women over more than ten years.
His surveillance extended to beaches, public footpaths, bus stops, Tube stations, and even private residences.
Hersborg, who previously boasted a clientele including tennis star Caroline Wozniacki and actress Anna Friel (though not connected to this case), was caught after a member of the public alerted police when they saw him in the back seat of his Lexus outside a north London university accommodation.
During his arrest, authorities found thousands of images and videos, including explicit content of women undressing and engaging in sexual activity.
Hersborg admitted to eight counts of voyeurism and was sentenced to three years and five months at Snaresbrook Crown Court.
CPS spokesperson Alex Weichselbaum stated: "Hersborg operated in plain sight for too long and, having targeted thousands of women over 12 years, we believe the scale and significance of his offending makes him one of London's most prolific voyeurs." The victims couldn't be identified from the images, and the crimes involved secret cameras set up to covertly record women in his clinic and in their homes.
