MAN ADMITS CHILD SEX OFFENCES
A man from Thamesmead has admitted to several child sex offences following an operation conducted by paedophile hunters.Tony Standing, aged 46, appeared before Bexley Magistrates’ Court on Monday, June 15.
He pleaded guilty to charges including attempting to communicate sexually with a minor, trying to meet a child after grooming her, and trying to persuade a minor to engage in sexual activities.
Standing was confronted by paedophile hunters at his residence on Sunset Road on Sunday, June 14.
The allegations involve interactions with someone who he believed was a 15-year-old girl.
According to court documents, he instructed her to perform sexual acts on herself, provided directions to his home, and offered to pay for her travel, suggesting she could keep any extra money she received.
Following his guilty pleas, Standing was remanded into custody and is scheduled for sentencing at Woolwich Crown Court.
