TOM LOUTH SENTENCED TO 10 YEARS IN LINCOLNSHIRE FOR SEXUAL ASSAULTS
A man identified as Tom Louth has been given a 10-year prison sentence after being found guilty of five separate charges of sexual assault.The incident took place within the county of Lincolnshire, and the case was heard at Lincoln Crown Court.
Louth, aged 35 and residing on East Elloe Avenue in Holbeach St Marks, faced trial where the jury deliberated and ultimately found him guilty of the charges.
The investigation leading to this conviction was led by Detective Constable Helen Morris, who works within Lincolnshire Police’s Protecting Vulnerable Persons Unit.
Her comments following the trial emphasized the significance of the verdict, stating, "This guilty verdict and sentence serve as both a punishment for Louth and a stern warning to others who might consider committing similar offenses." She further explained the police force’s commitment to thorough investigation and justice, saying, "We will do all we can to investigate and build a case, ensuring that suspects are brought before the courts.
Every report we receive concerning sexual assault is treated with utmost seriousness and handled with sensitivity." Detective Constable Morris acknowledged the challenges faced by victims in coming forward.
She stressed the importance of investigating every allegation meticulously, remarking, "We understand what it takes for a victim to step forward, and it is crucial that we leave no stone unturned in our pursuit of justice.
We hope that outcomes like today’s verdict will encourage more victims to report incidents and reinforce the confidence in our ability to protect the community." Following his conviction, Louth was not only sentenced to a decade behind bars but was also subjected to a sexual harm prevention order.
Additionally, he was mandated to comply with life-long sex offender notification requirements, reinforcing the ongoing efforts to prevent further harm and uphold public safety within Lincolnshire."
