June 2008 Pervert can go back on internet A paedophile who abducted an 11-year-old Walsall girl he met in a chatroom will be allowed to go back on-line once he leaves prison following an Appeal Court ruling. Timothy James Parfitt, of East Dean, near Eastbourne, Sussex, failed in his challenge to get his jail term shortened, but was given another chance to use the internet. The decision made at the Appeal Court has been met with outrage in Walsall, the home town of Parfitt’s schoolgirl victim. Walsall South MP Bruce George said: “The judicial system in the UK continues to amaze me by its excessive tolerance. “Our children have to be protected, and I am appalled at this decision. I am sure the police will keep an eye on him to make sure he does not lapse back into his bad habits but the indication that it is OK for him to use the internet again would certainly anger me if I was the victim’s parents.” Parfitt insisted he had nothing but honourable intentions to the youngster he abducted in November 2004. After meeting the girl over the internet he picked her up in Walsall and drove her around in his car.
