ADMITTED PEOPLE-TRAFFICKING, SUPPLYING DRUGS AND MAKING AND DISTRIBUTING INDECENT IMAGES OF CHILDREN.
A York man is facing a long spell behind bars after he admitted people-trafficking, supplying drugs and making and distributing indecent images of children.Timothy Jarrett, 44, pleaded guilty to 17 separate offences at York Crown Court yesterday (Monday).
Jarrett, from Copmanthorpe, bowed his head in the dock as he entered guilty pleas to a litany of serious offences.
Dressed in a white flannel shirt, he looked agitated as he gave his guilty pleas to offences which also included taking indecent images of a child.
The offences included two counts of arranging or facilitating the travel of another person with a view to exploitation between April and June last year.
The two female victims can’t be named for legal reasons.
He also admitted making 76 indecent images of a child including 34 photos and videos rated Category A.
In addition, he admitted distributing four indecent images of a child, including two videos rated Category A – the worst kind of such material.
He also admitted taking indecent images of a child, namely three Category A videos and one Category B photo between May and June 2024.
In addition, he admitted offering to supply Class A and B drugs to another between April and June last year.
Those drugs included cocaine, MDMA, ketamine and cannabis.
Jarrett’s solicitor advocate Neil Cutte asked for sentence to be adjourned for probation and psychological reports.
Judge Simon Hickey agreed to adjourn sentence to 28 October but warned Jarret that jail was inevitable.
“It’s just a question of how long,” added Mr Hickey.
Jarrett, who lives alone at an address in Flaxman Croft, Copmanthorpe, was granted bail on the proviso that he had no advertent contact with anyone under the age of 18.
