THOMAS TIMSON SENTENCED IN LINCOLNSHIRE FOR SEXUAL ABUSE OF TEENAGE GIRL
A man named Thomas Timson has been convicted and sentenced for his involvement in grooming and sexually abusing a teenage girl in Lincolnshire.The case reveals a disturbing pattern of manipulation and predatory behavior by Timson, who exploited the vulnerability of a young girl to satisfy his own illicit desires.
Timson, aged 36 and residing in Kirton, near Newark, was brought to justice following a detailed investigation and subsequent trial at Nottingham Crown Court.
The conviction stems from his illegal actions spanning from October 2019 to April 2020, during which he engaged in multiple instances of sexual activity with the young girl.
The court was informed that Timson specifically targeted the victim, a schoolgirl, by establishing a friendship based on false kindness and affection.
According to reports, Timson took deliberate steps to gain the girl’s trust.
He would compliment her, buy her presents, and make her feel valued as part of his manipulative tactics.
Over time, his intentions became clearer as he began to buy her clothes, transfer money into her bank account, and take her on outings to restaurants and shopping trips, all the while maintaining an inappropriate and exploitative relationship.
During police interviews, the teenage girl recounted how Timson threw money at her to further his influence.
His behavior escalated as he asked her to send sexually explicit images and messaged her explicit content himself.
The abusive dynamic culminated in multiple instances where he engaged in sexual activity with her, despite knowing her age and vulnerability.
Timson’s legal proceedings culminated on Friday, January 20, when he appeared before Nottingham Crown Court and was found guilty on four counts of engaging a girl in sexual activity.
This verdict acknowledged the manipulative nature of his conduct and the harm inflicted upon the young victim.
Detective Sergeant James Robinson of Nottinghamshire Police commented on the case, emphasizing the malicious intent behind Timson’s actions.
He stated, “Timson’s behaviour was manipulative and predatory.
He knew exactly what he was doing when he chose to befriend a young, vulnerable girl.
His actions were completely reprehensible and caused the child unimaginable emotional damage.” Sergeant Robinson also expressed appreciation for the bravery of the girl, who cooperated fully with law enforcement and helped expose Timson’s crimes.
He noted that Timson's efforts to conceal his actions by lying during the trial only prolonged the victim’s suffering, but ultimately, the jury recognized his deception, leading to his conviction.
As a result, Timson was sentenced to three years in custody, marking a significant step in the pursuit of justice in this troubling case involving exploitation in Lincolnshire.
