KELSO MAN THOMAS RENWICK'S TRIAL POSTPONED TO MARCH
2025: Currently residing at 14 Wood Street in Galashiels A man who committed sexual offenses involving three juvenile females has been mandated to register as a sex offender for a period of five years.Thomas Renwick, aged 22, was found guilty of these crimes after a jury trial held at Jedburgh Sheriff Court.
The incidents included a sexual assault on a 13-year-old girl at a residence in Eyemouth on May 19, 2018.
Additionally, Renwick was convicted of engaging in inappropriate communications and assaulting a 15-year-old girl multiple times between March and July 2020, at a different house in Eyemouth and other locations.
During these encounters, he also made sexual remarks towards her.
Between June and August 2020, at the same property, he sexually assaulted a nine-year-old girl.
The court sentenced Renwick to a community payback order that includes supervision, along with a night-time curfew at his home in for eight months.
He is also required to comply with the notification procedures mandated by the Sexual Offences Act for a duration of five years.
