A 30-year-old man received a prison sentence of over four years after being found guilty of raping a teenage girl in Bristol during 2022.
Thomas Manson, who resides in Crediton, Devon, was unanimously convicted by Bristol Crown Court and was subsequently sentenced to 57 months behind bars last week.
During the trial, the victim, who met Manson through a dating application, delivered a statement describing the enduring psychological effects of the assault and how it impacted her education.
The crime took place in May 2022, when the victim was 19 years old.
Following the incident, she reported the matter to police, leading to Manson's arrest and subsequent charging.
Although Manson denied the allegations, a jury found him guilty in October, and he was sentenced on Friday, 31 October.
