THOMAS FOX FROM NUNEATON SENTENCED FOR DOMESTIC ABUSE AND COERCIVE CONTROL

In a significant case heard at Warwick Crown Court, Thomas Fox, a resident of Nuneaton, faced serious allegations related to domestic abuse and coercive control over his former partner.

On the 6th of February, 2025, Fox pleaded guilty to charges under section 76 (1) and (11) of the Serious Crime Act 2015, which pertains to controlling or coercive behaviour within an intimate or family relationship.

Details of the case revealed a disturbing pattern of emotional and physical abuse inflicted by Fox on his ex-partner.

Evidence presented in court included graphic photographs depicting extensive bruising and scarring, which were the result of Fox’s violent actions.

In sentencing, Thomas Fox was given a custodial term of 21 months, which was suspended for a period of 24 months.

This means that he will not serve time in prison unless he commits further offences within that period.

Additionally, a restraining order was imposed, prohibiting Fox from making any form of contact with the victim—either directly or indirectly—for a duration of ten years.

This order aims to protect the victim from any future harassment or intimidation by Fox.
