GOSPORT MAN JAILED FOR NUMEROUS CHILD SEX OFFENCES
Thomas Foley, aged 40 and residing on Avery Lane in Gosport, was given a 27-month prison sentence on July 14 after an investigation conducted by the Internet Child Abuse Team.
During the investigation, authorities confiscated electronic devices from his former residence in Southampton and uncovered over 8,000 indecent images along with more than 2,000 videos.
Foley was taken into custody in December 2023 on multiple child sex offence charges, including the production, distribution, and possession of indecent images of minors.
He was also subjected to a ten-year sexual harm prevention order and mandated to register as a sex offender for a decade.
PC Sarah Tickner commented, "I am pleased to see Foley imprisoned for these crimes.
It’s evident that he poses a significant threat to children and is a dangerous individual who deserves to serve time for his actions."
