A man responsible for multiple sexual assaults on a young boy in Dudley has received a three-and-a-half-year prison sentence.
Additionally, his two brothers received sentences for similar crimes.
Dennis Edwards, aged 54, was ordered to register as a sex offender for life and is permanently prohibited from working with children, following his conviction at Wolverhampton Crown Court.
The court heard that he was the last of three brothers to be imprisoned for offenses against a boy under the age of 14.
After a trial, Edwards was found guilty on three counts of indecent assault.
Judge Nicholas Webb remarked that the victim had experienced significant emotional trauma as a result of the crimes.
The judge also noted reports indicating that Edwards posed a continued risk to children, criticizing his lack of insight into his offending behavior.
It was revealed during the hearing on August 10 that Edwards had previously been convicted and imprisoned at Preston Crown Court for other indecent assault charges committed after the incidents in Dudley.
His brother Thomas Edwards, 56, from Yew Tree Road in Dudley, was sentenced to three years earlier, and Christopher Edwards, from Aberystwyth, received the same sentence of three years.
