HELSTON PAEDOPHILE THOMAS COSSLETTE JAILED FOR ABUSING GIRL IN PETERBOROUGH
In May 2021, a man from Helston, Thomas Cosslette, was sentenced to prison for grooming and engaging in sexual activities with a young girl. Cosslette, aged 22, initiated contact with the victim through a friend he met on holiday in 2016. The two began messaging each other that same year, when Cosslette was 18.He visited the girl while she was staying in Peterborough, during which he first engaged in sexual activity with her. Following this, he repeatedly asked her to send explicit photographs of herself. On a subsequent visit, Cosslette texted the victim just before arriving, warning her that if she did not have sex with him upon his arrival, he would leave and she would never see him again.
Cosslette, whose address is Gwarth an Drae, Helston, pleaded guilty to six counts of engaging in sexual activity with a child. He was sentenced at Peterborough Crown Court to three years and four months in prison. Additionally, he was issued an indefinite Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO).
