Blair Atholl Domestic Abuser
Terry Robinson, a 52-year-old resident of Blair Atholl, was involved in a serious domestic violence incident. He tracked down his estranged wife in a golf club car park while only dressed in his pyjamas. According to Perth Sheriff Court, Robinson used a trimming knife to slash her tyres. The incident was driven by his jealousy and anxiety following their separation six months earlier. On April 4, Robinson, suspecting his wife of infidelity, chased her as she tried to leave. She was terrified and attempted to escape by starting her car. Robinson then banged on her window, demanding, 'Are you sleeping with him?' Eventually, she managed to drive off, only to find that all her tyres had been deflated. Following the events, Robinson admitted to behaving in a threatening or abusive manner that was likely to cause fear or alarm. He has been sentenced to 120 hours of unpaid work and ordered to stay away from his wife for a year under a non-harassment order. Additionally, he must pay her £440 in compensation for the vehicle damage. The Sheriff emphasized the seriousness of his actions, stating, 'The way that you behaved to your wife was simply not acceptable.' His legal representative explained that Robinson was acting out of feelings of betrayal and rage but acknowledged he had no right to jealousy after their separation.
