ALNESS MAN JAILED FOLLOWING CONVICTION FOR UNLAWFUL SEX WITH TEENS
Terence Urquhart, who was between 17 and 20 years old at the time of the offenses, was found guilty last month of multiple historic sex crimes involving girls as young as 13.He received a prison sentence of three years and nine months.
Throughout the trial, Urquhart maintained that the sexual acts were consensual but acknowledged that his behavior was “disgusting” and “inappropriate.” The jury also convicted him of engaging in indecent sexual acts with two girls between March 2006 and May 2009.
Although he was acquitted of rape charges concerning one girl, he was found guilty of illegal sexual activity with her.
The victim described the abuse as “life-changing,” affecting her daily life and her physical and mental well-being.
The judge underscored the gravity of his crimes and their impact on victims, stressing that individuals must face the consequences of their actions towards others.
