Bury Child Sexual Abuser
In a disturbing case that has shocked the community of Bury, a man named Terence Horner has been sentenced to prison for heinous crimes involving the exploitation of a young girl and the possession and distribution of thousands of indecent images of children.

Horner, aged 63, was found to have amassed a vile collection of over 10,000 indecent images of minors, some of which he shared online, further demonstrating the extent of his depravity. Authorities described him as someone who 'knew no bounds when it came to exploiting children,' highlighting the severity of his actions.

The case came to light after police received information in April of the previous year regarding the sharing of indecent images online. Following this tip-off, law enforcement officers swiftly acted to seize Horner’s electronic devices, including his phone and computer, which were subsequently subjected to detailed analysis.

Through their investigation, officers uncovered evidence that Horner had systematically groomed a young girl, engaging in manipulative behavior over a period of time. The investigation also revealed that on at least one occasion, Horner sexually assaulted the girl, further compounding the gravity of his crimes.

Horner appeared at Minshull Street Crown Court, where he pleaded guilty to multiple charges, including sexual assault, and the making, possession, and distribution of indecent images of children. His guilty plea led to a sentencing of 12 years in prison, reflecting the serious nature of his offenses and the harm inflicted upon his victims.

The case has raised significant concerns about online safety and the protection of children from exploitation, prompting calls for increased vigilance and preventative measures within the community of Bury and beyond.
