A man from Newcastle was sentenced after police uncovered over 1,200 indecent images of children on his computer, including non-deleted material that he had tried to erase.
Khetia, 33, pleaded guilty to making and possessing images, with some in the most serious category.
He was given a community order, supervision, and placed on the sex offenders register for five years.
