Stuart Worby has been sentenced to a 12-year prison term following his involvement in the sexual assault of a pregnant woman and the administration of medication to induce a miscarriage. Prosecutors disclosed that Worby concealed the drugs—specifically mifepristone and misoprostol—inside a glass of orange juice while the victim was blindfolded, claiming it was part of a 'kinky sex' act.

The victim, whose identity remains protected, experienced a miscarriage just hours after the incident while hospitalized. The court heard that the drugs used are typically employed together to induce termination of pregnancy.

In a victim impact statement, the woman described the emotional suffering caused by the event, stating, "The only baby that I could have had was the one I lost."

During sentencing, Judge Joel Brennathan condemned Worby, saying, "You must have known this was dangerous for the victim... You are a selfish man."

Additionally, another individual, Neuza Cepeda, was involved in the crime by pretending to be someone seeking an abortion online and assisting Worby. She received a suspended sentence of 22 months for her part.

The victim has also been granted an indefinite restraining order against Worby to protect her from further contact.
