STUART MINNS, WISEBECH PAEDOPHILE, SENT BACK TO JAIL FOR INDECENT EXPOSURE
A convicted sex offender has been re-incarcerated after exposing himself to a woman in Wisbech.Stuart Minns, 37, who is registered as a sex offender and subject to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order, has a history of child sexual abuse convictions, including possessing hundreds of indecent images of children in 2009 and 2019.
On the morning of December 2, 2020, around 9am, Minns exposed himself to a woman sitting in a parked car near an infant school in Wisbech while her partner was dropping their child.
It was reported that Minns continued to stare at the woman as she took a photograph of him.
The police were called, and Minns was arrested later that day in Leverington after officers identified him from the photo.
During police interviews, Minns claimed he could not recall exposing himself but subsequently pleaded guilty to the charge.
He resides on Staithe Road, Wisbech.
Minns was sentenced at Peterborough Crown Court on February 19 to one year in prison, with an extension of a year on licence.
Detective Constable Greg Homer-Ward commented, “Minns is a prolific sex offender with eight previous convictions.
During this incident, he targeted a lone woman and caused her significant discomfort for his own satisfaction.
His conduct was disturbing, and I am glad he has been brought to justice.
I hope the sentence demonstrates how seriously Cambridgeshire takes this type of criminal behaviour.”
