Kelty Domestic Abuser
A woman in Kelty was barricaded inside a bedroom to keep her partner out, but he forcibly entered by repeatedly kicking the door down. According to the report, Stuart McInally, age 42 and from Moir Court, Kelty, forcibly broke into the room during an argument. He had previously claimed to have thrown her cat and her phone out of a window, which caused her to panic and search for her pet. McInally admitted in court that on May 4 at his residence, he shouted, swore, and behaved aggressively towards his partner. He also forced entry into the bedroom by kicking the door, which was barricaded by her with a metal pole. The defense indicated that the couple remains together, despite these events. As a sentence, Sheriff Krista Johnston ordered McInally to complete a community payback order demanding 80 hours of unpaid work and nine months of supervision.
