STUART HUBBLE FROM BRACKLEY SENTENCED IN OXFORD CHILD SEX CASE

In a case that has shocked the local community, Stuart Hubble, a 50-year-old resident of Lark Rise in Brackley, was formally sentenced for serious sexual offences committed in Oxford. The case was the result of a thorough investigation conducted by Thames Valley Police, which uncovered disturbing details about Hubble's misconduct.

On Monday, January 21, at Oxford Crown Court, Hubble received a sentence of 12 months’ imprisonment, which was suspended for two years. This means that while he will not serve time immediately, he remains under court supervision and could face imprisonment if he breaches the terms of his suspension. The court's decision came after Hubble pleaded guilty during a prior hearing to three counts of engaging in sexual activity with a girl aged between 13 and 17, with the added aggravating factor that he abused a position of trust. At the time of the offences, Hubble was employed as a music teacher at a school in Oxford, a role that placed him in a position of authority and responsibility over his young pupils.

The offences for which Hubble was convicted took place between February 2018 and August 2019. During this period, he engaged in inappropriate and illegal sexual activities with a student, actions that have caused significant concern and distress within the community. In addition to his suspended sentence, Hubble was also ordered to adhere to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order for a period of five years. This order is designed to restrict his activities and monitor his conduct to prevent any further harm.
