HARTLEPOOL PERVERT STUART HENDERSON SENTENCED FOR CHILD SEX ABUSE AND MASSIVE IMAGE COLLECTION
In April 2021, a disturbing case emerged from Hartlepool involving Stuart Henderson, a 44-year-old man whose actions have shocked the local community and highlighted the ongoing issue of child exploitation.Henderson was found to possess an alarming number of child sex abuse images, including some classified as among the most serious categories, and was also involved in engaging in sexual activity with a teenage girl.
According to court reports, Henderson kept a USB stick loaded with depraved content on his key ring, a detail that underscored the extent of his depravity.
His arrest followed a police investigation triggered by suspicions about his internet activity.
Authorities seized his electronic devices, which were found to contain a vast collection of indecent images depicting children.
The investigation revealed that Henderson not only stored these images but also engaged in sexual activity with a minor, specifically a schoolgirl, which compounded the severity of his crimes.
During police interviews, Henderson admitted to using drugs and employing specialized software to create some of the images.
He also acknowledged having a sexual interest in children, a confession that added weight to the charges against him.
The prosecution, led by Paul Cleasby, detailed that Henderson faced multiple charges, including seven counts of possessing indecent images of children and prohibited images, along with a charge of sexual activity with a minor.
At Teesside Crown Court, Henderson pleaded guilty to all charges.
His defense lawyer, Sam Faulks, described Henderson’s life as being in a state of turmoil, citing his substance abuse, estrangement from family, job loss, and the threat of losing his home.
Faulks also mentioned that Henderson had been attacked and was fearful for his safety, though he emphasized that Henderson’s own actions had led to his predicament.
Judge Howard Crowson sentenced Henderson to a prison term of five years and two months.
The judge expressed concern about Henderson’s potential for future offending and ordered that his behavior be closely monitored by police and probation officers.
Additionally, Henderson was subjected to a lifelong Sexual Harm Prevention Order, restricting his contact with children and his internet use.
He was also mandated to register as a sex offender for life, ensuring ongoing oversight of his activities.
Earlier, in March 2021, Henderson’s criminal record was further detailed when he appeared in court to admit to possessing over 100,000 indecent images of children, including 1,411 in the most serious category.
He also pleaded guilty to a charge of sexual activity with a child, with the court being told that the images were made between February 2008 and April 2020.
The court indicated that a custodial sentence was highly probable, and sentencing was deferred for six weeks to allow for a report to be prepared.
Henderson, also of Victoria Terrace in Hartlepool, was granted bail but was ordered to sign the sex offenders register, reflecting the seriousness of his crimes and the ongoing risk he poses to the community.
