BUCKIE MAN FOUND WITH PSEUDO-PHOTOGRAPHS OF CHILDREN AFTER POLICE RAID
A Buckie man who had his home raided was found to have pseudo-photographs of children.
Steven Wishart (43) had over 500 indecent images and over 60 videos on a laptop, USB and computer tower.
Of the material found, there were 45 images and 32 videos that were Category A, the most serious, with some accessible and most inaccessible.
In Category B, there were 54 inaccessible images and 11 inaccessible videos.
There were 425 images and 23 videos in Category C, with some accessible and the majority inaccessible.
Inverness Sheriff Court heard that Wishart was at home with his parents and sister, when police arrived with a search warrant in autumn 2020.
Just after 1pm on this date, Wishart complained he was faint and felt unwell and an ambulance was called.
He was conveyed to Dr Gray’s in Elgin and was told he was fit and was thereafter arrested and conveyed to Burnett Road Police Station.
Wishart, of Well Road, Buckie, pleaded guilty to taking, permitting to be taken or making indecent photos or pseudo-photos of children between June 1, 2016 and October 5, 2020.
He also admitted a separate charge of having in his possession indecent photos or pseudo-photos of children.
Sheriff Gary Aitken deferred sentencing until January 14, 2026 for background reports to be completed, and placed him on the Sex Offenders’ Register.
