A man was accused of sharing an intimate photo of a woman to humiliate her and of sending unsolicited sexual images of himself.
Steven Walker, aged 40 and living on Astbury Avenue in Poole, faced charges including two counts of harassment without violence and for distributing a photograph depicting an individual in an intimate state with the intention of causing alarm, distress, or humiliation.
Walker appeared in Poole Magistrates’ Court on February 27 to admit the offences.
According to reports, on October 12 in Poole, Walker shared a private photograph of a woman without her consent.
Over the following week, from October 12 to October 19, he harassed her through relentless phone calls, visits to her workplace, numerous text messages, and by sending unsolicited sexual images.
He also contacted her child, mother, and previous partners and friends.
He was also charged with a separate harassment offence involving another woman, to whom he sent many text messages and made repeated phone calls between October 12 and October 18.
Walker was sentenced to 12 weeks in prison, with the court noting that the sharing of the image was aimed at humiliating her and that she experienced psychological harm.
A restraining order was also issued against him, lasting two years, to protect the two women from further harassment.
