BRIDLINGTON TEACHER CONVICTED OF CHILD SEXUAL ABUSE
In 2007, science instructor Steven Edwards was found guilty of sexually assaulting four female students between 2001 and 2004.During the court proceedings, it was revealed that social services had conducted an inquiry into his conduct with a student in 2004, but the student declined to report any inappropriate behavior at that time.
Edwards subsequently left his previous school and took up a teaching position elsewhere.
In the same year, he admitted to possessing indecent images of minors, including photographs on his phone of a 15-year-old girl masturbating and a video showing him kissing the same young woman.
