In a disturbing case that has shocked the community of Glapwell, a couple has been sentenced to prison after admitting to serious charges related to child exploitation. The incident came to light in April when authorities executed a warrant at their residence on Hawthorne Avenue, leading to their subsequent arrest and investigation.

Stephen Wholey, aged 37, and Amanda Wholey, aged 39, appeared before Derby Crown Court on Friday, September 13. Both individuals pleaded guilty to multiple charges involving the creation and possession of indecent images of children, a crime that has garnered significant attention due to its severity and the impact on victims.

Stephen Wholey faced a substantial sentence of three years and eight months in prison. His conviction included 19 counts of making indecent images of children, six counts of possessing such images, and a breach of a sexual offences prevention order. The court's decision reflects the gravity of his actions and the need for strict punishment to deter similar offenses.

Amanda Wholey was sentenced to 16 months in prison after admitting to nine counts of making indecent images of children and four counts of possessing indecent images. Her sentencing underscores the seriousness with which the judicial system treats crimes involving the exploitation of minors.
