STEPHEN WRIGHT SENTENCED TO TEN YEARS FOR CHILD ABUSE IN CITY

A man who was previously employed by the Ministry of Defence has been sentenced to ten years in prison after admitting to multiple charges of child abuse. Stephen Wright, who is in his early 60s, committed crimes that included indecent assault and rape, starting when the victim was just 12 years old. The offences took place over a period of three years, ending in 1982, but only came to light after the victim reported them in 2014. In addition to the prison sentence, Wright was ordered to register as a sex offender indefinitely.
