STEPHEN WOOD FROM SHREWSBURY SENTENCED FOR ONLINE GROOMING AND CHILD PORNOGRAPHY

A man identified as Stephen Wood, aged 49, hailing from the town of Shrewsbury in Shropshire, has been handed down a prison sentence of three years following serious allegations of online grooming and possession of a significant number of indecent images of children.

The court proceedings revealed that Wood engaged in a disturbing pattern of communication with a teenage boy, who was under the age of 16. Despite being fully aware of the victim’s age, Wood exchanged explicit messages and images, which progressively became more sexual in nature.
