STEPHEN WILLIAMS FROM MACCLESFIELD CONVICTED OF POSSESSING OVER 2,000 CHILD INDECENT IMAGES
In November 2005, a Macclesfield man named Stephen Williams was convicted of possessing a total of 2,017 indecent images of children on his computer.
Williams, who is described as balding, bearded, and wearing glasses, aged 52 and residing on Portland Walk, pleaded guilty to 17 counts of creating indecent images or pseudo-images of children along with one count of distributing an indecent photograph of a child.
During a brief five-minute hearing at Macclesfield magistrates' court, prosecutor Keith Drummond explained that initial reports suggested Williams had 2,097 images, but further investigation revealed the actual count was 2,017.
He noted that the distribution charge was related to a shared computer hard drive.
