ROCHDALE PERVERT STEPHEN THORPE SENTENCED FOR SEXUAL ASSAULT NEAR HOLLINGWORTH LAKE

Trusting the adult, the boy followed the advice and relocated to the new spot.
However, once at the new location, the boy realized that Thorpe had followed him.
It was at this point that Thorpe subjected the young teenager to sexual assault.
Despite the assault, the boy managed to escape and run away from the scene, seeking safety and help.
Thorpe initially denied any involvement in the incident, claiming innocence.
Nevertheless, evidence against him was overwhelming.
The victim identified Thorpe, and witnesses who had been in the area at the time also confirmed seeing him near the canal.
Their testimonies played a crucial role in establishing Thorpe’s guilt.
