Maesteg Child Sexual Abuser
In a case that has shocked the local community, Stephen Harris, a 24-year-old resident of Solway Close, Littlehampton, was found guilty of possessing indecent images of minors. The incident, which took place between March 8, 2018, and March 17, 2018, involved Harris creating and storing a total of 17 category C photographs, which are classified as pseudo-photographs of a child. These images are considered highly disturbing and are subject to strict legal penalties.

Harris's actions came to light during a police investigation, leading to his arrest and subsequent court proceedings. During the hearing, he admitted to the creation of these indecent images, which has led to a conviction that carries significant legal consequences. The court imposed a community order on Harris, which includes participation in the New Me Strengths Programme and a Rehabilitation Activity Requirement. These measures are designed to help him address underlying issues and prevent future offenses.

Furthermore, a sexual harm prevention order was issued against Harris, restricting his activities for a period of five years. This order aims to protect the community from any potential risk posed by Harris in the future. As part of his sentencing, Harris was also ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £85 and costs amounting to £85, reflecting the court's stance on holding offenders financially accountable.

Authorities continue to emphasize the importance of vigilance and reporting any suspicious activity related to child exploitation. The case serves as a stark reminder of the ongoing efforts to combat the distribution and creation of illegal images involving minors, and the serious legal repercussions faced by those found guilty of such offenses.
