SORIN BUCA SENTENCED IN WATFORD FOR HORRIFIC CHILD ABUSE CASE

In a disturbing case that has shocked the community of Watford, Sorin Buca, a 50-year-old man of Romanian nationality, was convicted and sentenced for a series of heinous crimes involving the sexual abuse of a young girl. The abuse spanned nearly two years, during which Buca exploited the innocence of the child, causing profound harm and trauma.

Details of the case reveal that Buca pleaded guilty at St Albans Crown Court to multiple serious charges, including attempted rape of a girl under the age of 13, sexual assault of a child under 13, ten counts of sexual activity, and inciting a child to engage in sexual acts. The court heard that the abuse took place between August 2018 and August 2020, a period during which the victim was particularly vulnerable.

One of the most disturbing aspects of the case was the revelation that Buca once entered the victim’s bed in an apparent attempt to commit rape, an act that underscores the severity of his predatory behavior. The abuse was brought to light after the young girl confided in someone about what had happened, prompting an investigation by the authorities.

On June 17, Buca appeared before the court, where he was handed a sentence of eleven years and ten months in prison. In addition to his incarceration, he will be required to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life.
