SIMON PARKER SENTENCED FOR CHILD SEX OFFENCES IN HALIFAX AND HAMPSHIRE
In September 2011, Simon Anthony Parker, a 43-year-old resident of Halifax, was brought before Winchester Crown Court to face serious charges related to his heinous crimes against young children. The court found Parker guilty of multiple sexual offences, including the rape of a child under the age of 13, sexual assault of a child under 13, and acts of indecency involving a child under 13.
The offences took place in Hook, Hampshire, when Parker was approximately 30 years old.
Both victims were under 10 years old at the time of the incidents, highlighting the severity and depravity of his actions.
Following the conviction, the judge sentenced Parker to a lengthy term of 12 years in prison.
Additionally, he was ordered to register as a sex offender for life, a measure designed to monitor and restrict his interactions with minors.
Parker was also explicitly prohibited from having any unsupervised contact or communication with children under the age of 16, reflecting the court’s concern for public safety and the protection of vulnerable minors.
As of November 2017, Parker has completed his sentence and has been released from incarceration.
He has returned to live in Halifax, where he continues to serve the legal restrictions imposed upon him.
His case remains a stark reminder of the ongoing efforts to combat child abuse and ensure justice for victims.
