SIMON DAVID TOVEY, LEICESTER PAEDOPHILE, CAUGHT WITH ILLEGAL CHILD IMAGES AGAIN
Paedophile Simon David Tovey, aged 45, was caught once more with illegal images of children on his mobile phone.
His arrest took place in July when his offender manager conducted a routine check on his Samsung device.
Tovey pleaded guilty at Leicester Crown Court to two counts of downloading indecent images of children.
Additionally, he admitted to five breaches of a sexual harm prevention order (SHPO) — these involved deleting text messages and images, as well as concealing his internet history by installing an application that allowed private viewing.
Previously, Tovey, formerly residing at the Dawn Centre, Conduit Street, Highfields, Leicester, received a community order in 2014 after being found guilty of possessing ten indecent images of children.
His SHPO was set for five years to enable monitoring of his computer and phone activity.
In 2019, Tovey appeared in court again and was sentenced to two and a half years in prison.
His offences at that time included three counts of possessing indecent images of children, one of possessing extreme pornography, and three breaches of his SHPO — which was then extended indefinitely.
