2015: LYE MAN JAILED FOR THROWING MILK SHAKE ON SISTER
A LYE man who threw a milk shake over his sister in Dudley town centre has been locked up for 18 weeks.At the time of the incident Simon Carr, aged 24, was the subject of a suspended prison sentence.
Balvinder Bhatti prosecuting told Wolverhampton Crown Court Carr approached his sister in Dudley and he was abusive.
Miss Bhatti added he then pushed her causing her to fall backwards before throwing the milk shake which “went all over her”.
Carr, of Stourbridge Road, Lye, admitted common assault and also breaching the three month jail term that had been suspended for two years for shoplifting.
Recorder Stephen Thomas told him: “This was a nasty mean thing to do and in my judgement, it passes the custody threshold as you have a previous conviction for battery.” He said Carr’s criminal record proved he had a history of failing in the past to obey orders passed by courts in the area.
The Recorder jailed Carr for six weeks for the milk shake incident and ruled he should serve a further 12 weeks in custody for the breach.
Simon Hanns, for Carr, said things between his client and his sister had been “difficult” for some time adding: “He should not have done it.
He knows that.”
