Brentwood Sexual Abuser
In September 2008, a teenage girl was sexually assaulted by a dry cleaner while waiting for her skirt to be altered. Shehzad Abbas, 26, of Grove Road, Walthamstow, was working at 2hr Dry Cleaners in Brentwood, Essex, when he groped the 16-year-old girl during the fitting process, Basildon Crown Court was told.

Following his conviction, Abbas has been placed on the sex offenders' register for five years. He has also been ordered to attend a sex offenders' group programme, pay the victim £500 in compensation, and cover £1,400 in legal costs. Additionally, he will remain on probation for three years and is required to complete 80 hours of community service.

Abbas, described as a "devout Muslim," was found guilty of the assault and is now subject to these legal orders as part of his sentencing.
