SEX ATTACKER JAILED FOR RAPING SLEEPING WOMAN
Shay Russell has received a prison sentence of seven years following his conviction for attacking a woman while she was sleeping.The court was informed that the victim had fallen asleep after a night of drinking when Russell exploited her vulnerable state.
Russell, aged 21 and residing on Bronte Way in South Shields, denied committing rape, but a jury convicted him of the charges.
He will serve seven years in prison and is required to register as a sex offender indefinitely.
