Jesmond Sexual Abuser
In a disturbing case that has shocked the local community, Shaun Klitzke, a man previously residing in Aspatria and now living in Queens Terrace, Jesmond, was found to possess a large collection of indecent images of children. The investigation was initiated after his estranged wife reported concerns to the authorities, leading to a search that uncovered the disturbing material.

During the search, police seized a mobile phone and a memory card belonging to Klitzke. Upon examination, they discovered dozens of images and videos depicting children as young as two years old in explicit and inappropriate situations. The collection was described in court as both 'appalling and loathsome,' highlighting the severity of the material involved.

Carlisle Crown Court was informed that the images included 68 classified as Category A, which is considered the most serious level of child exploitation material. The investigation revealed that Klitzke had been engaged in creating and possessing these images over a period of several weeks during the previous year.

Shaun Klitzke, aged 34, faced multiple charges related to the possession and creation of indecent photographs of children. He pleaded guilty to six charges, acknowledging his involvement in the offenses. The court heard that his actions were committed over a span of weeks, indicating a sustained period of offending.

Judge Peter Davies sentenced Klitzke to 16 months in prison for his crimes. Additionally, he imposed a 10-year sexual harm prevention order, which aims to restrict Klitzke’s access to children and prevent any future offenses. The case has raised serious concerns about child safety and the importance of vigilant reporting by the community to protect vulnerable victims.
