CHILD RAPIST SENTENCED TO 25 YEARS
A man from the Evesham region facing child sexual assault charges received a 25-year prison sentence during a hearing at Worcester Crown Court, held at Redditch on Tuesday, 7 July.Shaul Samson, aged 32 and currently detained at HMP Hewell, was convicted following a trial in May of multiple sexual offences involving minors.
Today, he was sentenced as follows: one count of raping a child under 13 – 25 years (comprising 21 years plus a four-year license period), two counts of child rape under 13, to be served concurrently, with an 18-year term; one attempt to commit child rape under 13, concurrent, for 11 years; four counts of sexually penetrating a child under 13, concurrent, for 12 years; inciting or causing a child under 13 to engage in sexual activity, concurrent, for six years; four counts of sexual assault on a child under 13, concurrent, for six years; engaging in sexual acts in a child's presence, concurrent, for three years; causing a minor to watch a sexual act, concurrent, for four years; communication of sexual content with a child, concurrent, for 18 months; and producing an indecent image of a child, concurrent, for one year.
He is required to serve a minimum of two-thirds of his total sentence 14 years before eligibility for parole.
Additionally, he has been handed an indefinite Sexual Harm Prevention Order and mandated to register as a sex offender for life.
The criminal conduct surfaced in October 2025 following a disclosure by the victim to a third party, which was reported to West Mercia Police.
These incidents occurred over an 18-month period.
Samson was taken into custody on 10 October, and investigators searched his residence, uncovering various items such as sex toys, bondage equipment, lubricant, and condoms.
Analysis of his phone data revealed messages with sexual content sent to the victim, as well as explicit images and videos of other minors, including footage of him engaging sexually with adults.
Initially denying the charges when appearing in Worcester Magistrates Court on 14 November, Samson’s case proceeded to trial at Worcester Crown Court in May, where he was found guilty of all charges.
