DOMESTIC ABUSER JAILED FOR ASSAULTING HIS PARTNER

Shane Thomas, aged 28 and residing at Tenby Court in Monkton, appeared before Cardiff Crown Court facing charges related to domestic abuse.

Prosecutor Dean Pulling stated that Thomas was accused of assaulting a woman at a property in Fishguard on August 7, and also of damaging her mobile phone during the incident.

During a prior hearing, Stuart John, representing Thomas, admitted that the defendant has a history of violent behavior.

The judge, Eugene Egan, sentenced Thomas to serve a term of 18 months in prison.
