PAEDOPHILE SERVING 25 YEARS COMPLAINS PRISON GUARDS LOST HIS FAVORITE TEDDY BEAR

Convicted sex offender Shane Medhurst has publicly claimed from within prison that his beloved teddy bear has gone missing, allegedly stolen by staff at HMP High Down.

Medhurst, 58, received a 25-year prison sentence last year after being found guilty of multiple serious child sexual abuse offenses involving victims under 13, including sexual activity with a minor, incitement to engage in sexual acts, and causing penetrative sex with a child under 13.

Currently serving his term at HMP High Down in Surrey, Medhurst shared in the prison magazine Inside Time that he has a passion for arts and crafts.

He described making several teddy bears, with his favorite being a yellow bear named Mr Bear, dressed in a striped blue and white outfit and wearing a hat.

It took him three weeks to build Mr Bear, which he valued most, and he had sent some to family and friends.

After lending Mr Bear to the prison library, it was reportedly missing after a three-week period.

Medhurst expressed disbelief and frustration at the disappearance, questioning how a large and visually distinctive teddy could simply vanish in a secure environment, sarcastically suggesting it might have 'sneaked out through the sewer.'

He also asserted that the prison guards had no knowledge of the theft.

Medhurst’s court case at Reading Crown Court last year involved multiple counts of child sexual offenses, resulting in his 25-year prison term.
