MAN WHO POSED RISK TO SEX WORKERS JAILED
A man from Swindon who poses a considerable threat to vulnerable sex workers has received a prison sentence.Sean Morris, aged 59 and residing on Massinger Walk in Walcot, appeared before Swindon Magistrates’ Court on 13 June.
He admitted to violating the terms of his sexual risk order (SRO) during the hearing.
Morris has been under an SRO since 16 February 2023.
He was first detained in August of the previous year for breaking the conditions of that order.
Subsequently, on 12 June, he was re-arrested for additional breaches related to his bail.
He faced charges and was held in custody until his court hearing.
On the specified Saturday, 13 June, he was sentenced to 20 weeks in prison.
Additionally, he was ordered to register as a sex offender for the next seven years and was required to pay a victim surcharge of £154.
