CAMELON OFFENDER APPEARS IN COURT FOR THREATENING BEHAVIOUR AND PROPERTY DAMAGE
A domestic offender who threatened to “destroy” his ex partner’s life and then proceed to vent his destructive rage on a kitchen table and some cupboards.Table flipping, toaster chucking Camelon offender lands back in court Sean McBride, 20, appeared at Falkirk Sheriff Court last Thursday having admitted threatening behaviour at an address in Fairlie Street, Camelon on October 25 last year.
The charge stated McBride pushed his way into the property and refused to leave, threatening to destroy a woman’s life.
He then proceeded to flip over a kitchen table, throw a toaster to the floor and repeatedly punched doors and cupboards while refusing to let the woman, his former partner, leave the property.
At a previous appearance it was stated McBride reacted angrily after his relationship with the woman came to an end, but was was said to have supposedly learned a “valuable lesson” that will see him “walk away” from any similar situations which may occur in the future and not take his anger and frustration out on furniture and fittings.
At that appearance earlier in the year McBride was classed as a minimum risk to reoffend so Sheriff Maryam Labaki placed him on a structured deferred sentence for three months to July 9.
“This was dreadful behaviour,” she said.
“For someone so young to end up in court like this – it’s very disappointing.
You will have a criminal conviction for this.” Last Thursday Sheriff Alison Michie heard McBride, 16 Fairlie Street, Camelon, was engaging with the order, but had missed a couple of court ordered appointments.
She allowed the structured deferred sentence to continue for another three months to October 8 and continued consideration of a non-harassment order.
