SEAN GRANT FROM MANCHESTER CAUGHT BY INNOCENTS ANGELS IN SHOCKING ONLINE GROOMING CASE

Grant appeared before Manchester Crown Court to face charges related to his online conduct.
The court was informed that he had initiated contact with what he thought was a minor girl’s profile.
During their online exchanges, Grant sent a series of sexually explicit messages, clearly indicating his intentions and desire to meet the girl for sexual activity.
His actions demonstrated a clear pattern of grooming behavior, aimed at luring a minor into a physical meeting.
However, the person Grant believed to be a young girl was actually an adult member of 'The Innocents Angels,' a vigilant paedophile hunting organization that operates by creating fake profiles to trap predators.
This sting operation was designed to protect children from potential harm and to bring offenders like Grant to justice.
Following the investigation, the court found Grant guilty of multiple serious offences, including engaging in sexual communication with a child and inciting a child under 16 to meet for sexual purposes after grooming.
As a result, the judge sentenced him to 12 months in prison.
Additionally, Grant was subjected to a sexual harm prevention order that will remain in effect for five years, restricting his contact and activities to prevent further offending.
Furthermore, he was ordered to register as a sex offender for a period of ten years, a legal requirement aimed at monitoring and managing his conduct to protect the community.
This case underscores the ongoing efforts by law enforcement and community organizations to combat online sexual exploitation and to safeguard vulnerable individuals from predators operating under the guise of anonymity on the internet.
