SCOTT WILSON FROM CUVAR STRIKES AGAIN: SEX OFFENDER INVOLVED IN MULTIPLE INCIDENTS IN DUNDEE AND CUVAR

In November 2024, Scott Wilson, a known sex offender from Cupar, was involved in a disturbing incident at a bus stop on Station Road, Cupar. Wilson, who has a history of sexual offenses, was seen harassing a 15-year-old boy who was waiting with friends for a bus. Witnesses reported that Wilson repeatedly approached the young teenager, engaging in inappropriate behavior that included touching the boy’s hair and attempting to initiate physical contact.

The young boy’s friends intervened, managing to pull him away from Wilson’s unwanted advances, and the incident was promptly reported to the police. This event marked yet another troubling episode in Wilson’s criminal history, which has seen him involved in multiple sexual offenses over the years.

Wilson, aged 56, and a former soldier in the South African army, had previously been incarcerated for serious sexual assaults. In April, he was sentenced at Dundee Sheriff Court for attacking three nurses at Ninewells Hospital. During that court appearance, Wilson was described as behaving erratically, including wandering around the court drunk and acting in a bizarre manner. The court heard that Wilson was branded a danger to the public by social workers and was placed on the sex offenders register on an interim basis.

Wilson’s past crimes include a series of assaults on nurses at Ninewells Hospital in September 2023, where he attempted to kiss two nurses and made inappropriate comments to a third. His behavior was so disruptive that he was remanded in custody and later sentenced to a two-year period of social work supervision, along with being placed on the sex offenders register. Despite this, Wilson breached the conditions of his order, which led to further legal action.

In a separate incident, Wilson appeared in Dundee Sheriff Court in April 2024, where he was sentenced for the Ninewells attacks. The sheriff, George Way, stated that Wilson’s failure to comply with his community payback order left the court with no choice but to send him to prison. Wilson’s behavior in court was notably unruly; he was intoxicated and uncooperative, which delayed proceedings and resulted in his remand.

Additionally, Wilson faced charges related to an incident on a bus in Fife, where he was accused of groping a male teenager. According to court reports, Wilson initially shook the teenager’s hand but then placed his hand on the boy’s thigh and rubbed towards his groin. The teenager shouted for him to stop, but Wilson responded aggressively, asking for a fight. He later approached police officers after leaving the bus, which further complicated his legal situation.

Solicitor Jim Caird, representing Wilson, stated that his client, who served in the South African army, was making efforts to control his alcohol consumption and behavior. Despite these claims, Wilson’s repeated breaches of court orders and his continued involvement in criminal activities have resulted in ongoing legal consequences. Wilson remains under supervision and on the sex offenders register, with his latest actions raising serious concerns about public safety in Cupar, Dundee, and Fife.
