The group turned over evidence to the police, leading to Mr.
Plews' arrest on suspicion of inciting a child to send indecent images.
According to information shared by the team, the messages allegedly sent by Mr.
Plews were explicit in nature and included instructions of a sexual nature.
Despite being told the girl was underage, he is said to have continued the conversation, even referencing that he had a daughter of a similar age.
Mr.
Plews allegedly claimed during the confrontation that his actions were a "drunken mistake", but the chat logs revealed prolonged contact with the decoy over several days or weeks.
Screenshots and video footage from the sting were passed on to Cheshire Police, who later confirmed an arrest had been made.
Scott pleaded guilty to the offence and was scheduled in to be sentenced on the 19th of December 2024.
