DUNFERMLINE MAN SCOTT MARSLAND SENTENCED IN EDINBURGH FOR ASSAULT INCIDENT
Scott Marsland, a 52-year-old from Dunfermline now residing at Colbie Hall Terrace in Edinburgh, was involved in an incident at his former address on South Dewar Street, Dunfermline.The court was told that Marsland assaulted his partner by grabbing her and pushing her during a dispute over a leaking boiler.
Although their relationship was in the process of ending, they continued to live in the same house.
Marsland admitted to police that on February 2, he pushed his partner following an argument about the boiler leak, after which she called the police.
He also made a police report himself, claiming that she was filming him.
During the court proceedings, defence solicitor Alexander Flett explained that this incident occurred toward the end of their relationship while they still cohabited, and highlighted that Marsland is employed in management and was concerned about the potential impact on his job.
Sheriff Lindsay Foulis fined Marsland £110, noting him as a first-time offender.
