GREATER MANCHESTER MAN JAILED FOR RAPE AFTER BRUTAL ATTACK

A woman was dragged into an alleyway and raped by a stranger after she had a row with her boyfriend and went to look for him, a court heard.

Scott Larkin, 22, followed his 19-year-old victim as she left her family home.

He punched her several times in a brutal assault in Swinton, Greater Manchester, and attempted to strangle her before he was disturbed by two policewomen on patrol.

Larkin was jailed for eight years at Manchester Minshull Street Court.

He pled guilty to rape and attempted rape four days before a trial in July.
