Scott Hall Child Sexual Abuser in Sunderland

A man from Whitburn was caught in a police operation attempting to engage in sexual conversations with a minor.

Scott Hall thought he was chatting with a 12-year-old girl on Snapchat in January of the previous year.

However, the account was actually operated by law enforcement officials.

Court proceedings at Newcastle Crown Court revealed that Hall, under the pseudonym “George,” made contact through the social media platform and claimed to be from Birmingham.

The conversation turned sexual in nature, with Hall asking the alleged child about her underwear, repeatedly soliciting photographs, and encouraging her to send images from her school bathroom.

He also asked if she would be a “good girl for daddy” and shared an explicit video of himself engaging in sexual acts with an adult.

The accused, 28 years old and living on Mill Lane in Whitburn, Sunderland, admitted to charges including attempting to induce a child to view a sexual act and trying to communicate sexually with a minor.

He had no criminal record and had been on remand since November.

The sentencing judge, Recorder Bryan Cox KC, explained that Hall’s psychological issues, emotional vulnerability, and social anxiety played a role in the punishment.

He was sentenced to 12 months in prison, suspended for two years, with additional requirements for mental health treatment and participation in rehabilitation activities.

His defense argued that Hall has community support and remains amenable to rehabilitation efforts.
