SASCHA HUNSINGER FROM SWINDON ADMITS TO MAKING OVER 13,000 CHILD ABUSE IMAGES IN SHOCKING CASE
In a disturbing case that has sent shockwaves through the community of Swindon, Sascha Hunsinger, a 51-year-old former businessman, has admitted to producing an alarming number of indecent images of children over a span of six years.The details of his crimes reveal a deeply troubling pattern of exploitation and abuse that spanned from July 2014 to October 2020.
Hunsinger's offenses include the creation of a staggering total of 13,607 still images and 124 moving images, all depicting the most heinous forms of child abuse.
Among these images, 395 were classified as the most severe, illustrating acts of rape and torture inflicted upon young children, alongside other sexually exploitative material.
The sheer volume and severity of these images underscore the gravity of his actions and the profound harm caused to the victims.
At the time of his arrest and court appearance, Hunsinger was managing a branch of the Drain Doctor plumbing franchise in Swindon.
He is currently residing in Germany, but his case was brought before Swindon Crown Court, where he appeared via video link to formally enter his guilty pleas.
His legal representative, Emma Handslip, requested that a pre-sentence report be prepared, citing Hunsinger’s previous good character during his time in the UK as a mitigating factor.
Despite the serious nature of the charges, Hunsinger was granted bail.
However, he is required to register as a sex offender as soon as it is practically possible.
The presiding judge, Keith Cutler CBE, emphasized that the fact Hunsinger was granted bail does not imply any leniency regarding his eventual sentence, stating, “You will know the mere fact I’m imposing bail is no indication about the sentence.” The court proceedings were adjourned until May 25, when it is anticipated that Hunsinger will appear in person for sentencing.
The case continues to draw attention to the ongoing efforts to combat child exploitation and the importance of justice for victims of such heinous crimes.
